Winsor & Newton 1/8” Brush Regency Gold 580 series

Winsor and Newton is a worldwide known purveyor of artist materials.  The Regency Gold brushes are intended for acrylic and oil painting, but can also be used for watercolor. These short handled brushes still achieve a balanced feel. They can not only be used in the studio, but can also be used by plein air artists easily because the short handles make them a bit easier to pack. 

Regency Gold brushes are made to exacting standards.  The tuft is well produced, the ferrule smooth and sturdy, and the handles are a pleasure in the hand.  The 580 series are flat brushes, and the 1/8" is the smallest of the flat brushes.  With a slight twist of the hand, the contour and edge of the brush allows a painter to vary the width of the brush stroke without lifting or changing out the brush.
