 Alvin DaVinci watercolors are intended for the serious or professional artist. DaVinci watercolors stay where they are put, have consistent texture, resist backrunning, and they are a pleasure to use.  Watercolors are particularly susceptible to damage by overexposure to strong light, with yellows among the most difficult to preserve; they tend to age toward brown. Developed in the 1970s, Benzimida pigments are relatively expensive, but among the most durable pigments used in artists' paints, with a ASTM lightfastness rating of 1 (the very best). This beautiful semi-transparent deep orange color comes in a 37 ml tubes. As a group, benzimida-type pigments are nontoxic and nonstaining.
