The heavy gage steel construction is virtually impervious to damage, and the height of this base can be adjusted to accommodate desk use or for drafting. A variety of different tops can be used in conjunction with the Berkeley classic base, from 24x36 to 31.5x48 inches. The manufacturer says the 31.5x48 top size is most commonly paired with the classic base, but smaller sizes will work just as well.
