Stanley Kunitz was an American poet and educator who lived from 1905 to 2006, dying when he was a century in age. During his long life span he was awarded every honor that can be given to a poet. Bill Moyers (an American journalist and political commentator) discusses with Stanley Kunitz how renewal of life is a common subject of his poetry, his personal love of life, and how he has greatly fought for arts to have recognition and how he has sought to inspire and encourage other poets and poets in the making. Mr. Kunitz reads his works "The Quarrel", "The Layers", "Vita Nuova", "The Round", "Passing Through", "The Portrait", "The Lincoln Relics", and "The Flight of Apollo". This DVD makes for the perfect watch for poets, aspiring poets, Kunitz fans, and poetry classrooms.
