George Henson patented these useful accessories and is recognized as one of the best accessories to plain air and French easels. They add more working space in close proximity to you as you are painting, and it lets you focus more on your artwork and gives you more space to work with. These are aluminum shelves which can be attached to most easels. Most French easels can accommodate two shelves. Side of the shelves has slotting to hold up to 10 brushes.

I have to return this. Problems as follows:
It is not clear which easels this will actually fit. I have three (Yarka, Plein Air Pro, and Winsor Newston. It fits none. The instructions are unclear and it is made of very flimsy, poorly finished (sharp edged) metal.

Very useful addition to my French easel...sturdy,adds lots of working room and is easy to set up and take down .....the one criticism is that the edges of the metal are sharp and I had to use sandpaper to smooth them down,otherwise well made.

Very useful tool-always need more space than easel provides. And it comes for a southpaw like me!
