With this Alvin Rotatrim 49" Technical Trimmer, you can cut extremely dense items with the industrial strength of this machine. However, you don't have to limit its function to dense materials. You can also cut items as thin as tissue paper with this versatile trimmer. The tungsten steel of the cutting wheel is self-sharpening for ease of continued use. The end supports are cast metal, and the guide bar is chromed steel. A clamping bar is made from aluminum and features an automatic release. A trip of pressure rollers and a tough gripper allow you to clamp things securely. The baseboard is fashioned from aluminum and is 11" wide. This durable trimmer will cut in both directions with the help of an overload plate. The plate is removable to allow for thin items to be cut in both directions. For model numbers 1550 and above, there are extension rods for the baseboard that will support larger materials. The rods are removable, and they slide into the baseboard for a depth extension to 28". There is a five-year warranty for the materials and workmanship of the trimmer.
