Its 4.5 inches of insulation, and the tight seal created by the spring balanced lid and the ceramic rope around the rim of the chamber not only provide an efficient firing, they offer the peace of mind of a lower emission of heat from the kiln for those in close proximity. Its top loading 18 X 18 inch medium capacity chamber has efficient heating elements that can be accessed by simply removing the chamber walls. It can supply the energy necessary for a color overglaze, or it can provide the high energy of a Cone 10 for the higher demands of a porcelain or stoneware product. Time previously spent closely monitoring a firing is eliminated through computer controls or a kiln sitter, which allow an advance programming of firing time and absorbed heat. With a tough framing and housing of sturdy steel, this kiln is built to stand the wear and tear of time and is covered by a five year warranty.
