This low-fire kiln has a small capacity and fires up to Cone 03. The 3.38 cubic foot capacity in the firing chamber is an 18" cube that is just right for glass decorating and slumping and for earthenware. Use it with glazes and clays that require a low fire. With this purchase, you also get $100 worth of glazes by Amaco, and the kiln comes with a five-year warranty. This kiln has excellent insulation for heating efficiency, and it is a top-loading unit. The small size of this unit makes it perfect for studios and classrooms that are small or medium in size. The 3" of insulation creates a lower temperature on the outside, making it perfect for use around students. A tight seal is made by the lid that is refractory backed and balanced by a spring. This seal means little heat loss and easy closing and opening. The tough construction includes shells made from 18-gauge steel and front frames made from 11-gauge steel. The back frames are made from 1/8"-thick steel.
