AMACO Master Kiln Series - EC-55 Kiln with Select Fire, three phase, 220/240V AC

This low-capacity, floor model kiln can be easily and safely used within personal or professional art studios and even up to mid-sized classrooms in a school setting, firing only up to a Cone 03. Because of the impeccable three inches of combined insulation that is worked into the kiln's manufacturing, the unit is able to be effective with a low radiant temperature. This makes this kiln much more efficient in using its 18 gauge Kanthal elements for power. The elements are easy to replace due to their deep setting within the grooves of the unit's firing chamber.

The EC-55 kiln is 18 inches in diameter, 18 inches in depth, and is also 18 inches in height, using durable 18 gauge steel shells for its walls. The kiln is top-loading with a refractory-backed lid resting on rope made with ceramic fibers. This type of rope helps seal the unit, blocking air from escaping the kiln firing chamber. This process give the EC-55 an unsurpassed ability to minimize heat loss while in use.
