Durable, secure working edge, and double boiled, da Vinci brushes go the distance when painting for years to come and become more responsive with each stroke.
Bristle brushes have been the work horse of painting for some time. A brush that gives responsive stroke control, has the durability, and a working edge that leaves a secure mark. da Vinci bristle brushes come double-boiled to have that well balanced feel so important to artists. Strands of the brush split into small points called "flags" at the tip. Bristle brushes with good "flagging" hold paint well and allow easy movement of paint across a canvass. At the same time brushstrokes remain visible giving a painting added texture. Well made da Vinci brushes when properly cared for improve with age since bristles soften and increase responsiveness. Mounted on two tone handles are nickel-plated brass ferrules where the brush hairs are firmly attached. The ferrule comes firmly crimped on the handle. (sizes 1 thru 30)
