Cadmium red medium, made by Liquitex, is of professional quality, not cracking or clumping inappropriately, and has long-lasting vibrancy. This high viscosity paint with a thick, buttery texture can be watered down with H2O depending on the artist's needs. Cadmium red medium is a step lighter on the saturation scale from pure cadmium red making it slightly less intense of a shade of red. This hue is perfect to enliven skin tones, mix deep pink and orange sunset colors, or for when a "fire engine red" is needed.
