Everett Raymond Kinstler is an American artist best known for his meticulous comic book and pulp illustrations of the 1940s and 1950s, as well as for his portrait work from the '50s forward. He has painted multiple U.S. presidents (Gerald Ford and Ronald Reagan) along with over 1,000 other notable figures including (but not limited to) Paul Newman, Betty Ford, Gregory Peck, Katherine Hepburn, Tony Bennett, Lady Bird Johnson, Tennessee Williams and Carol Burnett. His work is now shown at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Brooklyn Museum and the Butler Institute. For his achievements in this filed Kinstler has aso won the highest awards available from both the Portrait Society of America and the National Portrait Gallery. This paint brush set recognizes Kinstler's detailed portrait work by serving as the perfect foundation for any artist serious about portrait painting or realistic works in general. This is Kinstler's personal choice of brush types for his portrait paintings (his most commonly used tools for each portrait, including extras of the brushes he has used the most often). This paint brush set includes 20 brushes in total. Each brush is expertly manufactured with long, white bristles that are naturally interlocked and flagged for precision painting. Although primarily intended for portrait painting, this long handle set is-- as a collection-- designed to help artists paint in at least three different techniques mastered and regularly used by Kinstler. In addition to portraiture, watercolor and landscapes are the other two techniques.
