This is a 50-inch cross brace which can be used to stabilize your art work that is 36" or longer in either direction. It can be combined with a second cross brace if necessary, and depending on the frame that you are using a second cross brace may be required. For instance, a frame that is 50-inches long and 50-inches wide may require two cross braces, but if it is 50-inches long and 24-inches wide, you will often be able to use just one cross brace. It comes pre notched so that you can easily add a second cross brace by screwing them together in the center.
