This is one 48-inch cross brace, and cross braces are used to make your painting more stable and durable. Remember that you may have a painting that hangs for several years, and when you add a cross brace to your painting it will ensure that it does not bow. Works that are 36" or longer in either direction often require a cross brace for more stability. You will not need to purchase cross brace brackets which are used to attach the brace to your frame as this cross brace includes a bracket set. This is for a single 48" cross brace, and it is pre notched to add a second cross brace easily.
