Guido Reni Video (DVD)

Guido Reni is often called “the Divine Guido.” On this DVD his paintings are explored from a point of view which takes into account the time period in which he was working. You will also learn all about who taught Guido Reni and who his rivals were during the time he was active as a painter.

Guido Reni had a belief that the artist was a tool used by divine forces to communicate with the world at large. He thought that his concepts, his style, and his artistic ability was directly guided by divine forces so that those divine forces would be able to communicate with the world.
