Glass and Ceramics Video (DVD)

Ceramics and glass are the focus of this 23-minute film that focuses on the many ways that these ancient materials are used. As some of the world's oldest substances made by man, ceramics and glass have been used in everything from decorative items to building materials to industrial usages. In this video, see two traditional techniques of glassmaking. Stained glass window making and glass blowing are both demonstrated for the viewer. The creation of ceramics for industrial use is also featured. As more and more applications are found for ceramics, more exacting ceramics need to be made to fit specific industrial criteria.
