National by Gerstner N-515 Utility Carrying CaseThis carrying case is built from native red oak furniture grade, veneered plywood and joints using a tongue-and-groove design that's durable and strong. The case is coated with a stain that's rubbed by hand and lacquer finish. It features hardware that's plated with polished chrome plated and bumper feet made of rubber to protect surfaces and the case itself.
For carrying with ease, the case includes a padded leather top handle and a hardwood design to protect it and its contents from moisture. The case locks and comes with two keys for security.
To allow for easy sorting and organizing, the carrying case features two trays and a drawer. It measures 16 inches wide, 8 inches deep and 9.75 inches tall. It weighs 13 pounds.

This is a great toolbox. It's gorgeous, it's as tough as the old Gerstner boxes, as it is as thoughtfully designed for its intended role. If you want a case to put your computer tools, modelling tools, or "around the house" tools in, this is an almost-perfect choice. I would have preferred the lift-out shelf to have been full-sized; as it is, it isn't really useful (so I just set it aside and put screws, misc. drill and screwdriver bits, &c in it). For an interior environment with mostly hand tools (and maybe a Dremel or Ryobi), this is the best box to buy.

I was initially apprehensive purchasing a foreign made Gerstner, but I also didn't want to spend $650 for the comparable US made version......
BOY AM I GLAD I SAVED MYSELF ALL THAT MONEY!!
This International version is top notch.
There hasn't been any skimping on quality - and aside for a couple of changes in some of the accents of the box, I would venture to bet that this box will stand the test of time with it's USA counterpart.

Excellent, good value. This case is to be used for gun cleaning supplies but may be too nice for that purpose.
This Gerstner International case is made in China, but is apparently made to Gerstner's American specifications.
The joints line up pefectly, the hardware has been carefully attached, and all the pieces are of solid wood, except the drawer bottom, which looks to be a thin 3-ply luan. I did find one stray drop of wood glue on the inside when the bottom drawer was removed.
Overall, this Asian made case is a beauty, and a credit to the Gerstner name.
An Gerstner American made version of this exact case is $320, the least expensive item they make.
These cases, as well as all Gersner cases can become family heirlooms.
That I found this case at an Art Shop, on sale, and with free shipping was a surprise.

Very nice chest. Using it for firearm cleaning brushes, tools and parts. Madison Art very quick in shipping product. Disappointed in that it was made in China. No keys were in the package.
