AMACO Excel Kilns - EX-270 with Select Fire, 240V AC, single phase

The AMACO Excel Kilns model EX-270 provides select fire at 240 volts for consistent results each time you use it. The optional EZ-Lift spring hinge is rated for heavy duty usage so you don't have to struggle to open and close the chamber. A reinforced steel bar secures two positions to assure the lid is safely locked closed during firing and locked open during loading and unloading your art. Reversible slabs in the lid and on the bottom provide long life to the unit before maintenance upgrades become necessary. Heat is provided through six Kanthal A-1 elements. Control of the kiln is accomplished through your choice of Infinite Control Switches, Dawson Kiln Sitter with Timer, or SelectFire Computer Control. A NEMA 6-50 plug for single phase units is attached to a seven foot power cord for ease of setup and use. The firing chamber is 23-3/8" in diameter and 27" deep to hold large or multiple pieces, and lined with long lasting heavy duty firebrick.
