The Suzuki method of music education has proven to be a useful way for young children to learn to play music. In this 26-minute video, the journey of one violin player is traced from his early days learning the violin at the age of three. Two years of studying the violin with the Suzuki method is chronicled to allow the viewer to see just how he progressed with this method. The mother of the young player questions whether the method is working and whether her son is producing music on his small violin. The progression of his musical skill as well as a deepening bond with his mother are shown over the course of the two years of instruction. This film also includes a performance by Dr. Suzuki.
