The Foster Keencut Javelin Series 2 and/or Big Bench Xtra Cutter Bars make precise cuts. This is critical for artists, designers & print shops working with banners, display materials, and items used for pop-ups or presentation stands. To have neat edges and to match edge to edge requires extremely accurate cutting. The tolerance is only .008 of an inch, especially over a long length cut. For example, to make human-size panels for a convention display, each panel needs to have a completely accurate cut so when assembled in the convention hall, there is a seamless transition from one panel to the other.
Using the Javelin Series 2 eliminates waste and reduces gaps. The reason for this is the Javelin Series 2 has a head design which supports the cutting edge of Graphik blades to the depth of one-half inch. Graphik blades are reversible. This means the Javelin Series 2 works perfectly well for both right-handed or left-handed artists. The cutting head accommodates both the easily changed 45mm textile blade holder and a vertically aligned medium strength blade holder, to allow a depth of three-eights of an inch (10 mm) for cutting.
Big Bench Xtra
Add the BigBench Xtra for a finished cutting table, as the perfect workstation in a print shop or artist’s studio. The BigBench Xtra is constructed of anodized aluminum. It provides a strong cutting area for the workstation. Each leg of the BigBench Xtra is adjustable for leveling. The fine tuning adjustments allow for precise cuts, and an accuracy which is phenomenal. Also sits on the Proteus Work Bench.
