Corot: Nature in the Studio Video (DVD)

To better teach students about the life of Camille Carot, students hear the artist himself through an imaginary narrative. The video was filmed in the same areas of Italy and France where the artist lived and worked to give students a better sense of his inspirations as he worked. Carot often painted outdoors, and that artistic preference is juxtaposed with working in a studio to show the relationship between the two. In 53 minutes, students get a better understanding of Carot, working outdoors and France and Italy during Carot's time.
