Unfortunately the beautiful world of ballet comes with a high price. The women who dance in the ballet are trained from sun up to sun down six days a week. They suffer from bruised feet and have to endure a life with no social activities whatsoever. They also have extreme pressure to keep their weight to unreasonably low levels.
This DVD concentrates on the lives of those ballerinas who perform for the Central School of Ballet in London. This is one of the best dancing schools in all of England. By viewing this DVD you will learn about the lives of these ballerinas as they deal with having to navigate the difficult world of ballet.
The girls enter the school at age 16 and finally graduate at age 19. Then they move on to the world of professional ballet. The girls endure a difficult life as they are constantly checking their weight to see if they have gained too much weight. They also train so regularly that by Sunday the girls are unable to do anything else other than to recover from the exhausting week before.
