Artisan Water Mixable Oil Paint (1.25 oz.) - COBALT BLUE

Cobalt Blue, a crisp and clean blue color. Invented in 1802 by chemist Louis Thenard, it was meant to be an alternative to the costly to produce Lapis Lazuli blue oil paint color.

Artisan is a brand of oil paints that does not contain any hazardous solvents, They have be made to look and work like typical oil paints.

There is no water used in the product line. However, the safflower and linseed oils  have been filtered  to let the colors accept water.The special mixture allows each color's characteristics to be greatly enhanced.

Artisan paints have a buttery consistency, which makes it possible for a variety of techniques to be utilized in the creation of works. The paints can be thinned according to the artist's needs.
