One roll all-purpose lead-primed linen canvas, 85” x 5.5 yards. All ARTFIX premium quality artists' canvases are created with the serious painter in mind. Artists desiring a high quality canvas hand-primed using time honored European methods chose ARTFIX canvases. All ARTFIX canvases are crafted near Provence, well-known for its gathering of artists. The climate is ideal for the creation of these canvases allowing the slow, steady and uniform drying process necessary to create a quality primed surface.  All ARTFIX pre-primed canvases are double-sized before being primed.  The canvas is then double coated with an acrylic sizing agent, followed by one to six coats of an oil-based primer giving it the same feel, durability, bonding capabilities, absorption and luminosity as that of the traditional white lead primed canvas but without the toxicity.
