I ordered an easel from Madison Art Shop on a Saturday and it was confirmed immediately. I was notified of shipping on Monday and it was received on the following Friday. I could not be happier. The easel is all that I expected it to be and the price couldnt have been better. The best I could do in a local store was twice the price. I've been using this easel in a home painting studio for about a week. It has a reddish tone similar to cedar, black plastic nobs, and rubber feet. The hardware seems adequate. I always treat my easels gently so the bolts don't strip. I'm hopeful this easel will last. I'm not sure it could take the abuse of being used in a school. I've painted 18x24" and the stability was excellent. I think with a 24x36" or larger and vigorous brush strokes this easel might be too small and light weight to be perfectly steady. It is a small H frame but is just big enough for my needs. The adjustable feet are great for making it level. When I get a larger studio I will probably upgrade to a mabef M04 -- that's a sturdy 70lbs. For now I couldn't be happier with the dolce.

This is the perfect easel for me. I share a small studio with another artist and I needed a substantial easel with a smaller foot print than my aluminum easel I am now painting with larger canvases and this comfortably holds them in my small space,plus it is a beautiful piece of wood. Madison Art has been my source for 2 easels now,a soltek and the dulce easel. Their customer satisfaction skills are A-plus.

I am pleased with my easel. It is the perfect aize for my small studio. The quality is very good. It was shipped quickly. The only negative was that the box was damaged heavily during shipping, but surprisingly, the contents were not damaged.

Excellent product. I'll echo some other reviewers in saying that I questioned whether such a low-priced easel could be high-quality, but this is a very sturdy and heavy piece of "art furniture," as the description says. The wood is beautiful and the easel is professional quality and accommodates a wide range of canvas sizes.

I really hestitated to order this item because the price was so low, I expected to receive flimsy, poorly-made product.
It is beautiful wood, the adjustments to height, canvas size and angle of tilt is great. Arrived undamaged. I will order from Madison Art in the future.

This "easel" is to small for a 24x 36 canvas i.e useless gor this application.
Second the easel os so flimsy that the legs walk when applying paint,finally the easel will
collapse if it walks too far.to me a total waste of money and time.

My Richeson Dulce Floor Easel was purchased to display a 3' x 5' painting at a very nice benefit. The people at Madison Art Shop were excellent to deal with (prompt superior service / communication) and shipped my product, so that I was certain to receive it on time. The easel was a snap to put together. Someone wanted to buy the easel with the painting, because it looked so good. As a more than satisfied customer, I will be back to shop again!

Order process was very easy and delivery was exactly when they said it would be. I have been comparing the prices for an easel that is sturdy and large enough to accomodate oversized canvases, but compact enough to fit in the limited space that I have. This Academy Dulce easel was a perfect match. Assembly was a breeze and so far, it looks pretty sturdy. Usually, I am very spectical to get items when their price is below the comparable products in the market, but this one was a good purchase and it seems like it will have a good life span.
