David Klein, inventor of Jelly Belly jelly beans claims that "In life, you only need to be a genius for fifteen seconds. This is America. If you come up with a good idea, you can run with that idea". He did exactly this with his confectionery business. In 1976, Unfortunately for David, however, he sold the trademarks and all rights to the company right before it took off, becoming a billion dollar enterprise. The company erased David's name from all the history of the company, taking all of the credit for themselves. David gives a cautionary tale about his endeavors and what can happen if you do not protect yourself in the corporate world.
