After dissolving the Iraqi army, US troops have begun to rebuild it. At Forward Operating Base Endurance in northern Iraq, volunteers are put through a four week training course to prepare them to defend their country. For Sgt. Alvarez, training these recruits has proved to be more difficult than the troops back home. Yelling and swearing is less effective when your recruits don't understand English. The insurgency rages outside the base in some of the hottest conflict areas in Iraq. Alvarez has four weeks to prepare these volunteers for combat where they will join US troops in defending the public and tracking down insurgents. Follow Iraqi recruit "Hamburger" in this exceptional documentary and see first hand the struggles of Iraqi recruits and American trainers as they strive to protect the Iraqi people and reestablish order in the conflict-ridden country.
