Embera—The End of the Road: Disappearing World (Enhanced DVD)

The End Of The Road: Disappearing World can cure anyone's boredom with its gripping plot and compelling characters. When they arrived there they discovered that they were not going to be able to have the Indians working for them. This leads to numerous clashes that result in the massacre of the Emberas. Slaves were then imported from Africa against the will of those importing them. Those that served as slaves during this time were considered poor and did not have many of the rights that they felt they should. Despite this they were responsible for Embera becoming a part of remote jungle headwaters.

Thanks to the government of Colombia the remainder of the highway running through the Pan American area from one side of the territory to another. The people of Embera were very vocal about their desire to have a legal right to the land they called home. It was important to them to have rights to the land that would allow them to be able to protect the land they love from attacks at the hands of the libres they engage in trade with. The film captures the plight of the people of Embera as they struggle with being stuck between the banknotes of the libres and the bulldozers of the government. It is one film that is included in the Disappearing Worlds series.
