The documentary takes the viewer to the Silk Road which is located near the border of India and Pakistan. Living in this region are the Manganiyar and Kalbeliya people, who are a part of the "untouchable" caste. These people are known as skilled musicians who once supported their families because of royal patronage. Unfortunately, with the emergence of modern India, they now cater to tourists and play at weddings.
The program follows the two peoples through their economic and social struggles. The viewer will get a close look at the trials they face. The Manganiyar and Kalbeliya people suffer extreme poverty, homelessness and mistreatment by their local governments.
