China’s Sichuan province, which is encircled by the spectacular mountain landscape, is renowned for its phenomenal wonders and unique cuisine. The program takes viewers through a number of Sichuan attractions which includes Jiuzhaigou National Park that is recognized as a World Heritage Site; a bamboo forest area which is among the sole habitats of the giant panda which is on the verge of extinction; mountain routes and passes mostly used by Tibetan minorities; a misty, subtropical plain with old irrigation procedures and other markers of millennium old cultures; and historical sites at Emei Shan, the largest of China’s four sacred Buddhist mountains. The provincial capital, Chengu which was once a major site of brocade production is now teeming with teahouses.
