The Yellow Mountain and the Peach Blossom have been majestic sites of pilgrimage right from the early generations for the Chinese painters and calligraphers. This program depicts the region as an animated window through which one can glance into the country’s past. The program features close interactions with artists and craftsmen and through their commentary we realize that there is a country in the world which takes pride in retaining its old world traditional charm. The film exposes a land where ink, paper and brushes are still produced in accordance with old traditional techniques with the same amount of artisan dedication. The documentary moves ahead to show Huangshan Mountains which is now a World Heritage Site, about Xuan Paper - The Fourth Treasure and shows Anhui's River Landscape. Viewers also make an expedition to a number of sites in Anhui province including Hongcun and Xidi which are two well-conserved villages that have been declared as heritage site by UNESCO and have also been shown in famous Chinese movies such as Ang Lee’s Crouching tiger among others.
