Bill Moyers Journal: Investigating the Attacks in Gaza (DVD)

Hamas, Israel Defense Forces, Gaza - words that most of the world recognize, connected with the violence in the contested areas of the West Bank in Israel. In 2009 Justice Richard Goldstone lead an investigation for the UN Human Rights Council into the atrocities and possible war crimes committed by both sides in the conflict over Gaza. Despite being a supporter of Israeli policy in the area several Israeli supporters strongly opposed and criticized the final findings of Justice Goldstone and his team. In this episode of Bill Moyers Journal Moyers interviews Justice Goldstone and discusses the controversy surrounding the report, which pointed a finger at both sides for possible war crimes committed during the conflict earlier in 2009. Also included in this episode is a tribute to the late Texas Justice, Justice William Wayne Justice. He was a strong supporter of law in Texas for many years.  Broadcast date: October 23, 2009.
