This Richeson 13” small press long phenolic bed plate & cushion is designed for use with the Richeson 13 inch small press. This comes with the cushion, and you may need to purchase other accessories separately like the press stand, pusher and catcher. You can also purchase the Richeson press by itself or as a package with the cushion, phenolic bed plate, and blanket. Phenolic bed plates are a good alternative to metal bed plates because they do not rust and they are lighter in weight. If you are buying a new printing press you may want to consider an alternative to metal bed plates. Phenolic plates are light weight and they do not rust. These plates are generally sold separately. However, it is well worth the extra purchase if you need to replace an old metal bed.
